Soliant Health is seeking an experienced Health Information Management (HIM) Manager for a 6-month travel assignment in Livingston, Montana. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a healthcare professional with strong experience in health information management, privacy compliance, medical coding, and department operations. The HIM Manager will oversee the daily operations of the HIM department while serving as the facility's designated Privacy Officer.

Responsibilities:

* Manage daily HIM department operations, including medical records, release of information, chart completion, coding oversight, patient portal workflows, and health information processes
* Serve as the facility's Privacy Officer and oversee the organization's HIPAA privacy program
* Lead privacy investigations, breach assessments, audits, reporting requirements, and corrective action processes
* Develop and maintain HIM and privacy-related policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and data security
* Manage departmental staffing, budgeting, productivity, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance efforts
* Collaborate with Compliance, Information Technology, Patient Financial Services, Registration, Human Resources, Administration, and clinical leadership teams
* Oversee release of information processes, medical record access auditing, and patient portal privacy functions
* Provide education and training related to HIM operations, medical coding, HIPAA privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

* Minimum of two years of medical coding experience required
* Previous HIM leadership experience strongly preferred
* Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy requirements, HIPAA Security concepts, release of information standards, confidentiality requirements, and health information regulations
* Experience with privacy investigations, breach assessments, HIPAA reporting, and compliance activities preferred
* Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic experience preferred
* Recognized healthcare privacy, compliance, or HIM certification, such as CHPS, CHPC, CHC, CPCO, or similar credential, or willingness to obtain within in a reasonable amount of time.

* Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

* Weekly Pay: $2900 - $3400

Contract Details:

* 6-month travel assignment
* Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Monday through Friday
* Generally scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
