Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification or licensure in radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology, as required by state and national standards
- Previous Cath Lab experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment, particularly for interventional cardiac procedures
- Familiarity with cardiac anatomy, physiology, and related terminology
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and patient safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
Schedule:
- Full-time hours, with flexibility required for weekdays and possible on-call shifts
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate data collection for physician review
- Assist cardiologists and nursing staff during invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting changes in condition promptly
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and radiation safety standards
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with technical support as needed
