Cath Lab Technologist - Baton Rouge, LA

Step into a progressive cardiac and interventional lab environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and supporting a patient-first culture. We're seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a contract position, where your skills will impact both cardiac and peripheral care in a highly collaborative team setting.

Schedule:

• Day shifts: Five 8-hour shifts (06:45 – 15:15)
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call responsibilities: Up to 3 times per week, with a 30-minute response requirement; includes call rotation on weekends and weekdays

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a Cath Lab setting (no first-time travelers)
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• ARRT(R) and LSRTBE state license (temporary license available; apply within 48 hours of signing)
• High proficiency with embolization, coiling, ablations, and device implants such as ports, pacemakers, and ICDs
• Demonstrated competence with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, and thrombectomy procedures/devices
• Expertise in STEMI care with FTB/DTB under 60 minutes
• Experience handling peripheral and electrophysiology (EP) procedures
• Able to work independently and confidently across the entire cath suite

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures (cardiac, peripheral, vascular, IR, and EP)
• Respond promptly to STEMIs and emergencies; uphold best Code STEMI system times
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team; share expertise to support colleagues
• Work efficiently within EPIC with dedicated documentation

• Assignment may include being part of an “Emergency Team,” which could require staying onsite until an event passes, or supporting through relief. Full details are provided by leadership as needed.
