Key Qualifications:
- Current ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Proven experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Proficiency with cardiac catheterization procedures and related imaging equipment
- Ability to operate imaging modalities and ensure high-quality diagnostic images
- Detailed understanding of sterile techniques and radiation safety guidelines
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment during diagnostic and interventional exams
- Support cardiologists during procedures by anticipating needs and ensuring accurate image capture
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, workflow, and post-procedure expectations
- Maintain rigorous adherence to safety, infection control, and procedural protocols
- Accurately document procedures and patient data within the electronic medical record system
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing professional education
