Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - Canonsburg, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise in Imaging as a Cath Lab Tech. This contract position is ideal for individuals with a passion for delivering top-quality cardiovascular care and experience working in dynamic clinical environments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
• Prior experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a hospital or clinical setting
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, angiographic procedures, and sterile techniques
• Advanced knowledge of imaging equipment operation and maintenance
• Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to act quickly during emergent situations
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory for diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures
• Assist physicians during diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic cardiac procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while providing clear procedural explanations
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Document procedure details, prepare images, and input data accurately into hospital systems
• Monitor supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness and timely restocking as needed
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
