Cath Lab Technologist in Cape Coral, FL

This contract opportunity requires a professional with technical expertise in imaging and catheterization lab settings. You'll assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring the highest standards for image quality and patient safety.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification or associate degree in Radiologic Technology or an allied health field
• Registered or registry-eligible as a Cath Lab Technologist; current ARRT or RCIS preferred
• Proven experience working in a catheterization lab environment
• Detailed knowledge of imaging techniques, angiography equipment, and sterile field protocols
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate imaging equipment for cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and related procedures
• Assist cardiologists and nursing staff with sterile technique, patient monitoring, and supply management
• Troubleshoot and maintain cath lab imaging systems to ensure optimal image quality
• Prepare patients for procedures while explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Accurately document procedural details, imaging data, and patient responses in electronic records
• Follow all safety and infection control guidelines to protect both patients and staff
