Cath Lab Technologist in Chatham, IL

We seek a knowledgeable Cath Lab Technologist to support clinical excellence during a contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to make a daily impact in a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering quality patient outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or in a similar interventional imaging role
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent, preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac, peripheral, and electrophysiology procedures
• Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and various imaging equipment
• In-depth understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety practices
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment for interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Assist physicians with all aspects of diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, including patient prep, contrast administration, and device deployment
• Monitor patients' vital signs and document procedural details accurately in patient records
• Ensure proper sterile field setup and compliance with established safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and procedural workflow
• Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance activities as required
