Elevate patient care and diagnostic precision as a skilled professional specializing in Imaging – Cath Lab Technology. We seek a knowledgeable Cath Lab Technologist to support clinical excellence during a contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to make a daily impact in a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering quality patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Technologist or in a similar interventional imaging role
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent, preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac, peripheral, and electrophysiology procedures
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and various imaging equipment
- In-depth understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety practices
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment for interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
- Assist physicians with all aspects of diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, including patient prep, contrast administration, and device deployment
- Monitor patients' vital signs and document procedural details accurately in patient records
- Ensure proper sterile field setup and compliance with established safety protocols
- Collaborate closely with nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and procedural workflow
- Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance activities as required
