Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS or equivalent)
  • Proven experience operating Cath Lab equipment and conducting cardiovascular imaging
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and patient safety standards
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate imaging and monitoring equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
  • Assist physicians throughout procedures—anticipating instrument needs and responding promptly to requests
  • Maintain a sterile field, adhering strictly to infection control protocols
  • Document all procedures, findings, and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergent situations with composure and clinical judgment
  • Support inventory management by restocking supplies and maintaining equipment
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the cath lab
