We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a collaborative imaging team on a contract basis. You will work alongside skilled professionals, utilizing cutting-edge technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent, with Cath Lab specialization required
  • Previous experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a hospital or similar clinical setting
  • Proficient with imaging equipment and intravascular imaging techniques
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt quickly to clinical needs
  • Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures including angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements
  • Operate imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy units according to established protocols
  • Monitor patient status during procedures and alert clinical staff to any changes in condition
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field and catheterization lab supplies
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and imaging data
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and infection control procedures
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, technologists, and physicians to deliver optimal patient care
