Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and operating imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures.
  • Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring precise image capture and patient safety.
  • Verifying patient identification and reviewing clinical history to maximize imaging accuracy.
  • Monitoring and evaluating patient vital signs during procedures, responding promptly to changes.
  • Maintaining meticulous records concerning equipment calibration, usage, and images.
  • Adhering to strict protocols for infection control, radiation safety, and patient privacy.
  • Providing compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Desired qualifications:

  • Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist or similar imaging credential.
  • Previous experience in a cardiac catheterization lab environment preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of imaging equipment and cardiac procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced settings.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with medical staff.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
