Cath Lab Technologist - Dyer, IN

A skilled Cath Lab Tech is needed on a contract basis to support a dynamic cardiac team. This position focuses on providing crucial imaging support for both outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cardiac patients in a collaborative environment. The unit has two beds with a 1:1 patient ratio and is fully equipped for cath lab procedures.

Schedule:

• Day shifts Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or four 10-hour days (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)
• Guaranteed 40 hours weekly
• On-call rotation required, including holiday coverage

Qualifications:

• Current State Radiologic Technologist Licensure
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent cath lab experience
• EKG test required upon submission
• Ability to float to the Munster Cath Lab if needed
• Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and emergent cardiac cases preferred
• Strong teamwork skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate imaging equipment during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Ensure optimal image quality and assist the interventional cardiology team
• Monitor and prioritize patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Accurately document procedures in EPIC (EPIC Cupid training provided during orientation)
• Participate in on-call rotation and accommodate holiday staffing needs
