Apply NowSupport cardiovascular physicians as an experienced Imaging – Cath Lab Tech in a dynamic travel role based in Elizabeth, NJ. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of advanced cardiac procedures including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, Atherectomy, and Valvuloplasty, among others. Expand your expertise with cutting-edge technologies and play a critical role in patient care throughout all stages of interventional cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile trays and organize equipment specific to each procedure
- Ready patients by attaching EKG leads, performing antiseptic scrubs, and draping per protocol
- Assist cardiac catheterization nurses with patient preparation and monitoring
- Calibrate and test transducers for accurate hemodynamic pressure readings
- Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate power injectors
- Manage digital cine technology operations including image storage and retrieval
- Ensure proper downloading and documentation of patient images
- Provide emergency support to stabilize patients during procedures
- Aid in removal of procedural sheaths and insertion of vascular closure devices
- Conduct inventory control and communicate supply needs
- Maintain, calibrate, and periodically evaluate diagnostic equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers, tailoring interactions based on age, culture, language, or impairments
- Lift at least 40 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs., and stand for extended periods
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cardiovascular or Cath Lab Tech
- Strong understanding of catheterization lab procedures and technologies
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced clinical environments
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Physical ability to meet job demands including lifting and standing
