As a Cath Lab Technologist in Fairmont, you’ll work alongside expert professionals in advanced cardiac and interventional procedures. This role offers valuable exposure to diverse workplace practices and technology, allowing you to expand your skills and collaborate with varied leadership teams. It’s a unique opportunity to enhance your resume by participating in high-acuity procedures, deepen your clinical expertise, and glean firsthand insights into specialized diagnostic and interventional cardiology.
Schedule Options:
- Four 10-hour shifts: 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Five 8-hour shifts: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Rotating call: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks (including holidays)
- Contract length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Professional Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered ARRT, RT(R); BLS and ACLS certifications required (may obtain during probation)
- West Virginia Medical Imaging License (or pending, must be secured before start)
- Minimum of 1.5–2 years’ experience in a diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath lab
- Travel experience required
- Experience with Siemens equipment and Cerner EMR desirable
- Preferred: ARRT (CI), electrophysiology, or interventional radiology experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac and endovascular procedures
- Accurately monitor patient hemodynamics and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- Safely operate complex imaging systems; ensure proper equipment setup and maintenance
- Scrub, maintain sterile fields, and serve as procedural circulator
- Adhere to safety protocols, participate in continuing education, and complete all competency requirements
