Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency as a Cath Lab Technologist, with deep knowledge of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment.
  • Experience supporting both adult and geriatric cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Strong ability to recognize lab results and medications that may contraindicate procedures.
  • Sound understanding of hemodynamic data interpretation.
  • Adherence to radiation protection and safety protocols.
  • Current certifications appropriate for Cath Lab Technologists.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate imaging equipment safely within the Cardiac Cath Lab and support the team during all phases of cardiac procedures.
  • Assist RN staff in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and current within medical records.
  • Scrub in and assist with equipment setup, procedure support, and maintenance of a sterile environment.
  • Accurately calculate valve areas and shunts, and dispose of biohazardous materials safely.
  • Respond adeptly during emergency situations and communicate subtle changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain full compliance with all radiation and safety guidelines.
