Qualifications:

  • Previous Cath Lab Tech experience preferred
  • Proficient in the operation of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment
  • Strong knowledge of adult and geriatric cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Familiarity with radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Ability to coordinate care and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Current certifications as required by state and facility regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cardiac cath lab equipment safely, ensuring sterile technique and accurate documentation
  • Assist with patient assessments, recognizing drugs/lab values that may contraindicate procedures
  • Support scrub and circulating staff, set up necessary equipment, and serve as a vital assistant during procedures
  • Handle emergency situations, coordinate patient transfers, and administer medications under guidance
  • Continuously monitor hemodynamic data, accurately analyze waveforms, and communicate findings
  • Enforce safety measures, particularly radiation protection, for all involved personnel
