This contract position is ideal for a skilled professional seeking to contribute to a renowned Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds and specialized centers for cardiac, stroke, and chest pain care.
Schedule:
- 4x10 hour shifts, days (0730-1800)
- Rotational weekend and call coverage as discussed in the interview
- Calls include vascular (two weekends/month, two weekdays) and cardiac (one call night/week, every 5th weekend)
- Schedule operates on a 4-week cycle
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ARRT-R or RCIS required for Cardiac Cath Techs
- Experience with peripheral angiograms/run-offs required
- Willingness to learn endograft, EVAR, and TEVAR procedures if not previously experienced
- IR or vascular surgery lab background highly preferred
- Open to professionals new to travel assignments
- Compliance with radius rule: permanent address must be 50+ miles from unit
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a mix of complex cardiac and vascular procedures (NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, angiograms, EVAR, TEVAR)
- Collaborate within a comprehensive support structure (traffic flow coordinators, charge nurses, VAD, RT, ECMO, and code teams)
- Utilize advanced technology: Epic EMR, Merge Hemo, Alaris IV pumps, Philips/GE/Siemens imaging, Omnicell
- Maintain rapid response readiness (30–60 min) during on-call periods
- Actively participate in orientation and ongoing skill development
