A specialized role is available for a cardiovascular invasive specialist experienced in cardiac catheterization procedures. This contract position involves preparing the Cath Lab, assisting with patient care, and supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Candidates will engage in hemodynamic monitoring, control room duties, and analysis of invasive and non-invasive test results to aid physician decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the Cath Lab for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies meet standard protocols.
  • Performing hemodynamic monitoring and maintaining control room functions with a thorough knowledge of relevant equipment.
  • Practicing radiation safety to protect patients and staff.
  • Conducting and monitoring patient stress tests.
  • Completing detailed patient catheterization reports and correlating test analyses.
  • Supporting additional duties as needed within the department.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current North Dakota Medical Imaging License or eligibility for a conditional license aligned with state requirements.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) strongly preferred; candidates with ARRT certification will be considered.
  • Proven experience in cardiac catheterization lab procedures, sterile techniques, and radiation safety protocols.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts with either early or late start options.
  • 24-hour call rotation every 3-4 weekends and also 1-2 weekdays.
  • Standard 5x8 workweek.
  • 13-week contract.
