Bring your expertise in imaging to an innovative healthcare environment, providing high-quality patient care as an Invasive Technologist in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab setting. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to contribute your specialized skills over a 17-week assignment.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 am – 3:30 pm shift
- On-call rotation based on unit needs
- Every third weekend required
- On call two days during the week
Qualifications:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- ARRT (RT(R)) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) required
- Prior experience in a Cath Lab or similar invasive cardiac imaging environment highly preferred
- Solid understanding of cardiac imaging procedures and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach; able to adapt to dynamic clinical situations
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Provide technical support for physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, responding quickly to changes
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with department protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality cardiac care
- Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
