An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. This contract position spans 17 weeks and plays a key role in supporting patient care within a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shifts
- On-call rotation every third weekend
- Two additional on-call weekdays per week, scheduled as needed by the unit
Required Qualifications:
- Certification as RT(R) or RCIS
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Demonstrated experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with strong skills in imaging and invasive cardiac procedures
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and monitor patient vitals during procedures
- Adhere to rigorous safety and infection control guidelines
- Prepare and maintain the cath lab, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the highest standard of patient care
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to urgent situations
- Document and report all procedures and patient responses accurately
