Exciting opportunity available for an experienced technologist specializing in cardiac catheterization procedures. This role offers the chance to provide critical imaging support in a dynamic cardiac cath lab environment. The position is structured as a 17-week contract and requires adaptability, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- On-call rotation based on departmental needs, including every third weekend and two days during the week
Qualifications:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
- Valid RT(R) (Registered Technologist, Radiography) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) credential
- Demonstrated experience and skill operating cath lab imaging equipment
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures as directed by the medical team
- Operate and maintain cath lab imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety
- Assist physicians during complex cardiovascular procedures
- Accurately document procedures and patient clinical information
- Prepare patients pre-procedure and monitor their status throughout their stay in the cath lab
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
