Cath Lab Technologist in Hammond, IN

An opportunity is available for an experienced professional to join a Cardiac Cath Lab in a well-established clinical environment. This contract position is ideal for someone with strong technical ability in imaging and cardiac procedures, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care alongside a dedicated team.

Schedule:

• Day shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 4×10hr shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• On-call rotation and potential holiday coverage

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a Cath Lab Tech
• Current Rad Tech State Licensure and ARRT Certification
• Active BLS certification
• Proficiency with imaging equipment specific to cardiac procedures
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to float to a nearby facility as needed

Responsibilities:

• Operate cath lab equipment for both inpatient and outpatient cardiac procedures, as well as emergent cases
• Monitor and assist with patient care during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a small, close-knit team (1:1 patient ratio; 2-bed unit)
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide holiday coverage as scheduled
• Accurately document patient information within the EMR (EPIC Cupid)
• Attend orientation and complete required education modules prior to the first day

Additional Details:

• Blue scrubs provided on site; only facility-issued attire permitted
• No facility-owned equipment issued—must be comfortable working with on-site resources
• Reporting instructions and parking information will be provided for the first day
