Seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech with expertise in advanced imaging for a contract position supporting cardiovascular teams. This dynamic role centers on delivering high-quality imaging services, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, and upholding stringent safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate specialized imaging equipment during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians with pre-procedure preparation, patient monitoring, and post-procedure care in the cath lab.
- Ensure patient safety by following established protocols for radiation safety and infection control.
- Provide accurate documentation of imaging findings and maintain detailed procedural records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain the cath lab’s inventory of supplies and equipment, adhering to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Support emergency interventions as needed, demonstrating rapid critical thinking skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Cath Lab Tech with imaging proficiency, preferably in a fast-paced hospital or healthcare setting.
- Current certification or registration as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent, as required by state regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common interventional procedures.
- Strong understanding of imaging procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
