Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist | Hedgesville, West Virginia

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced professional with expertise in Cardiac Cath Lab imaging modalities, seeking a contract position in a renowned healthcare setting. The role focuses on cardiac electrophysiology (EP) services, supporting pacemakers and ICDs, while working collaboratively in a state-of-the-art lab environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• 10-11 on-call shifts per month, including weekends

Ideal Background:

• Prior experience as Cath Lab Tech, CV Tech, EP Tech, or Vascular IR Tech will be considered
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ARRT (R) certification as a Radiologic Technologist
• Confident in operating intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)
• Familiarity with cardiac device procedures (ICDs and pacemakers); ablative EP experience is not required
• Willingness to learn the Acist injection system (on-site training offered if needed)
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Ability to manage variable schedules and respond effectively during on-call hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver precise imaging and technical assistance in cardiac cath and electrophysiology labs
• Support implantations of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and ICDs
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide optimal patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times
• Participate in on-call rotations and adjust quickly to emergent patient care needs
