Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist, and current registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech within an imaging services setting
- Working knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and imaging technologies
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy, x-ray, and angiographic equipment
- Familiarity with sterile technique and radiation safety standards
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while providing updates and reassurance
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment with adherence to best practices and protocols
- Monitor patient status throughout the procedure, responding promptly to changes or emergencies
- Document all procedures, images, and patient data accurately in electronic medical records
- Maintain a sterile field and uphold infection prevention protocols at all times
- Support other members of the Cath Lab team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care
