A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technician in the cardiology department of a well-established healthcare facility located in the vibrant Hollywood, FL area. This contract role in the Cath Lab focuses on high-quality cardiac care within a fast-paced, patient-centric environment equipped with advanced GE Innova imaging technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with specialized cardiac procedures including cardiac catheterizations, cerebellar angiograms, stent placements, balloon angioplasty, and ENT lab support.
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques while scrubbing and assisting in procedures.
- Collaborate closely with a skilled team comprised of RNs and Technicians to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Meditech and MacLab to document and manage patient information accurately.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support unit demands.
Qualifications:
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT.
- Proficient in Special Procedures and experienced with GE Innova equipment.
- Preferred qualifications: RCIS certification.
- Strong critical thinking skills paired with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding clinical setting.
- Flexibility to cover frequent on-call duties.
Schedule:
- Day shift with a dedicated patient-to-staff ratio of 1:1.
- On-call availability as per unit needs.
