Cath Lab Technologist in Inwood, WV

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled professional to join a dynamic Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR) team. This contract role offers a structured schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday, 0700-1530), along with 10-11 on-call shifts per month, including weekends. Enjoy working in a sophisticated environment with seven suites—two cath lab bays and five holding rooms—handling a wide variety of adult cardiac cases from cath PCI to device implants (ICD, pacers, no ablations).

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Accepted backgrounds: Cath Lab Tech, CV Tech, Vascular IR Tech, and EP Tech.
• Must possess unexpired driver’s license.
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from facility.
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, and ACLS for CV Invasive Rad Techs (WV Radiology License); RN candidates should have BLS and ACLS.
• Familiarity with IABP and IVUS is essential. Experience with the Acist injector is a plus, but training is available.
• Ability to scrub and monitor cases is required.

Role Responsibilities:

• Operate in 3-person teams, working with RNs and technologists to support all coronary and peripheral procedures.
• Serve as resource for both scrub and monitor roles; flexibility to float to Non-Invasive CV for IV starts if needed.
• Participate in call coverage rotation with response times mirroring RN requirements.
• Collaborate closely with charge nurse and resource nurse for daily assignments and case flow.
• Ensure all protocols are followed and work collaboratively with 24/7 pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and a cardiologist on call.
