Key Qualifications:
- Current ARRT or equivalent registration required
- Certification in Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS) preferred
- Minimum of one year experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a healthcare setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, catheterization lab procedures, and imaging equipment
- Proficient in radiation safety and sterile technique
- BLS and ACLS certification (current)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to react rapidly in urgent situations
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements, ensuring all supplies and instruments are readily available
- Monitor patient vital signs and deliver immediate support throughout procedures
- Manage documentation, maintain accurate procedural records, and ensure compliance with department protocols
- Apply appropriate radiation protection measures for patients and staff
- Prepare and position patients according to procedure requirements, ensuring comfort and safety
- Participate in the set-up, operation, and calibration of imaging systems and associated equipment
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to provide seamless patient care
