Cath Lab Technologist in Irwin, PA

Deliver critical support in a high-acuity medical environment specializing in imaging as a Cath Lab Tech. This contract opportunity provides meaningful work collaborating with a dynamic cardiovascular team focused on delivering excellent patient care.

Key Qualifications:

• Current ARRT or equivalent registration required
• Certification in Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS) preferred
• Minimum of one year experience as a Cath Lab Tech in a healthcare setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, catheterization lab procedures, and imaging equipment
• Proficient in radiation safety and sterile technique
• BLS and ACLS certification (current)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to react rapidly in urgent situations
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements, ensuring all supplies and instruments are readily available
• Monitor patient vital signs and deliver immediate support throughout procedures
• Manage documentation, maintain accurate procedural records, and ensure compliance with department protocols
• Apply appropriate radiation protection measures for patients and staff
• Prepare and position patients according to procedure requirements, ensuring comfort and safety
• Participate in the set-up, operation, and calibration of imaging systems and associated equipment
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to provide seamless patient care
