Key Skills and Experience Desired:
- Certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in Cath Lab procedures and operations
- Proficient in Interventional Radiology (IR) techniques, equipment, and safety best practices
- Solid background in X-ray imaging, positioning, and patient care protocols
- Ability to work effectively within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent credential required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization, diagnostic, and interventional procedures
- Accurately position patients to ensure high-quality imaging results, adhering to safety and infection control standards
- Assist physicians with a variety of procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional techniques
- Monitor patient status, provide support before, during, and after procedures, and respond to emergent situations as needed
- Document imaging protocols, patient information, and procedural details accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and compliance with all safety regulations
