Qualifications and Experience:
- ARRT (R) or equivalent registration required
- State radiologic technologist license, if applicable
- Prior experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory preferred
- Proficiency with angiographic and imaging equipment
- Comfortable assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Strong sterile technique and experience in a surgical or procedural suite
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other vascular procedures
- Prepare and position patients for studies, ensuring optimal image capture and patient safety
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and report any concerns to the team
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and radiation safety policies
- Document all required information accurately in patient records and departmental logs
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining a clean, organized work area
