Travel Cardiac Catheterization Technologist | Lamont, California

With five specialized suites dedicated to coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP cases, each day is unique and filled with learning possibilities. You’ll collaborate closely with seasoned professionals, from experienced techs to lead technologists, benefitting from diverse procedural practices and leadership styles. This assignment is perfect for experienced Cath Lab Techs seeking to further their skills, enrich their resumes, and immerse in meaningful work while exploring new parts of the country.

Schedule/Hours:

• Typical workload ranges from 10–22 varied cases per day
• Rotating weeknight call (1x per week for inpatient and emergent cases)
• Weekend call approximately once per month, running from Friday evening through Monday morning (subject to unit needs)

Key Qualifications:

• Current, hands-on Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT, Fluoro, and BLS certifications (RCIS or CCT not accepted)
• Confident with conscious/moderate sedation, airway management, and cardiac drips (Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors)
• Skilled with intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Experience in a STEMI-receiving lab strongly preferred
• First-time travelers for Cath Lab not eligible

Primary Responsibilities:

• Rotate between scrubbing and monitoring hemodynamics
• Support RN during conscious sedation cases
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary care team, sometimes including a fourth tech/RN
• Execute general and specialized Cath Lab procedures across all five suites
