Cath Lab Technologist in Loves Park, IL

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled technologist specializing in imaging—Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures. This contract role is vital to the efficient operation of a busy Cath Lab that performs both cardiology and a significant volume of radiology cases.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• 4x10-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• 1-2 on-call nights weekly
• On-call every 3rd or 4th weekend

Qualifications & Experience:

• ARRT certification is required
• Proven experience in Cath Lab as well as Interventional Radiology (IR) settings
• Recent EP (Electrophysiology) experience
• Proficient in both scrub and monitoring roles for devices and ablations
• Ability to handle dedicated Radiology cases (40% of the department’s workload, including on-call)
• Completion/ability to provide an IR skills checklist
• Candidates must be willing and able to work both IR and cardiology cases as needed
• Applications from local candidates (within 50 miles) will not be considered

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in Cath Lab and IR procedures, including the use of advanced medical equipment
• Actively participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and supporting electrophysiology and ablation cases
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless and safe patient care
• Provide skilled care during on-call shifts, both weekday nights and select weekends
• Maintain compliance with strict industry and facility safety standards
