Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist | Meriden, Connecticut

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Technologist to join a dedicated imaging team. This 17-week contract position offers the chance to contribute your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• On-call rotation required, including every third weekend and two additional weekdays as scheduled by the unit

Qualifications:

• Active BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Registered Technologist in Radiography [RT(R)] or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentials necessary
• Previous experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with strong skills in imaging technology and cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused atmosphere
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a wide range of invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Operate imaging equipment utilized in the cath lab, ensuring top image quality and patient safety
• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical histories, explaining the process, and confirming readiness
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, assisting physicians and nurses throughout procedures
• Maintain meticulous and timely records for each case in compliance with current standards
• Adhere to all required safety protocols and infection control practices
• Respond efficiently to emergent situations as part of the on-call rotation
