Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00am – 5:30pm
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- No block scheduling
- On-call rotation: 1 night per week (5:00pm – 7:30am) and every fourth weekend (Friday 5:00pm – Monday 7:30am)
Role Overview: As a Cath Lab Tech, you’ll take an active role in a busy Level III Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting 10+ cases daily across three labs. This setting covers a wide range of patient care, including structural heart, peripheral vascular, ECMO, and Impella procedures. You’ll work closely with a highly skilled clinical team, taking your abilities further through direct involvement with both routine and complex interventions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Scrub cases, operate imaging equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures
- Calibrate, set up, and monitor equipment for cardiac electrophysiology studies
- Prep patients, monitor devices, and collect diagnostic data during procedures
- Ensure a safe, compliant radiologic environment for all lab activities
- Accurately calculate and administer drug dosages
- Maintain detailed, procedural billing and manage lab supplies
- Support patient positioning and transport
- Respond quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations
Key Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical degree (RCIS, Radiology Tech, or accredited Electrophysiology program)
- Certification: ARRT required
- 4-year/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in Cath Lab, including scrubbing and imaging
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; able to interact compassionately with patients and medical teams
- Proficient in ECG recognition and medication calculation
