Cath Lab Technologist - New Haven, CT

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support a dynamic cardiac catheterization team. This contract-based role calls for an experienced technologist eager to contribute expertise in an advanced imaging environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 17-week contract
• 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• On-call rotation based on unit needs: every other weekend, every third, and two days during the week

Qualifications:

• Certification as RT(R) or RCIS required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications necessary
• Demonstrated experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures
• Competency in operating and troubleshooting cath lab imaging equipment
• Team-oriented, with excellent communication and patient care skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare, assist, and provide technical support during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor patient status to ensure optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control guidelines
• Accurately document procedure details, equipment usage, and patient data
• Respond promptly to on-call duties during scheduled rotations, ensuring rapid and effective support for urgent cases
