Key Qualifications:

  • Registered or certified as a Cath Lab Tech (RCIS or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven experience conducting and assisting with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies
  • Proficient in operating imaging equipment and monitoring vital signs during procedures
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques, radiation safety, and contrast media administration
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the cath lab environment for safe and efficient operations
  • Assist the interventional cardiologist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Monitor patient status and report changes to the healthcare team
  • Operate imaging, recording, and other catheterization laboratory equipment
  • Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, equipment calibration, and quality assurance standards
  • Provide compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures
