Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Previous experience working as a Cath Lab Tech in a hospital or cardiac care setting
- Proficient in operating imaging equipment and performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Knowledgeable in sterile technique, radiation safety, and cardiovascular anatomy
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate imaging and monitoring equipment for cardiac catheterizations and vascular studies
- Scrub, circulate, and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, reacting promptly to any changes
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver excellent patient care
- Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment as needed
