Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS preferred or equivalent credential)
  • Previous experience working in a Cath Lab or similar imaging environment
  • Knowledgeable in cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and sterile technique
  • Proficient in operating imaging and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of the medical team
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with the healthcare team and positive patient interactions

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment for patient procedures
  • Accurately document all details related to procedures, patient status, and administered medications
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, identifying and communicating any significant changes in condition
  • Provide technical support for a variety of cardiac procedures
  • Ensure all supplies and instruments are properly sterilized and organized for safe, efficient workflow
