Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment safely in the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care for adult and geriatric patients during cardiac catheterization
  • Perform roles such as computer operator, scrub assistant, second circulator, and recovery technician
  • Assist RNs with patient assessment and care implementation, especially regarding contraindications for procedures
  • Accurately document procedural and patient data, and analyze/monitor hemodynamic information
  • Set up and assist with all needed equipment during procedures, maintaining sterile technique
  • Properly calculate valve areas and shunts
  • Support safe medication administration and labeling both on and off the sterile field
  • Respond proficiently to emergencies and support patient transfers when necessary
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff, adhering to all code of practice guidelines
  • Recognize and communicate any alterations in patient condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Certified Cath Lab Tech with current credentials
  • Experience in cardiac catheterization procedures preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety and radiation guidelines
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
