Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and prep patients for a wide range of procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, PCI (STEMI), pacemaker placements, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and accurately calculate hemodynamic data throughout each procedure.
  • Provide skilled procedural assistance to physicians during pre, intra, and post-procedural phases.
  • Assess, manage, and monitor access sites; promptly inform physicians of any issues or changes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to on-call protocols specific to the Cath Lab.
  • Educate and prepare patients both physically and emotionally for their procedures.
  • Maintain operational readiness and uphold high standards for patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech, with a comprehensive understanding of imaging and procedural protocols.
  • Proficiency in monitoring, documentation, and hemodynamic calculations specific to the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  • Familiarity with assisting in interventional cardiology and radiology procedures.
  • Working knowledge of best practices for peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and PCI (STEMI) procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with physicians and reassure patients.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in the Cath Lab’s on-call schedule as required.
  • Current certification/licensure as required by specialty and state guidelines.
