Step into an essential role supporting advanced cardiovascular procedures as a Cath Lab Technologist. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment with a patient-centered focus on imaging within the cath lab setting.

Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts, days

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Valid Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • At least one year of direct patient care experience
  • Completion of radiation safety classes within 90 days of employment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cath lab imaging equipment according to established protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety policies and infection control practices
  • Prepare procedural rooms, manage sterile supplies, and assist with patient monitoring throughout procedures
  • Document patient information, imaging results, and procedural data accurately in medical records
  • Respond swiftly to emergent situations in the lab and provide support as needed during procedures
