Cath Lab Technologist in Rockford, IL

Take your expertise in imaging and cath lab technology to the next level in an advanced medical setting. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and seeks a skilled technologist comfortable in both cardiovascular and interventional radiology environments, including EP and device-related procedures.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• 1–2 call nights each week
• Call rotation every 3rd or 4th weekend

Qualifications:

• Active ARRT certification required
• Proven experience in Cath Lab as a technologist—scrubbing and monitoring for both devices and ablations
• EP experience is essential
• Strong foundation in interventional radiology; ability to handle scrub and monitor roles for IR cases
• Willingness to complete an IR skills checklist
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Radiology experience highly preferred, due to 40% of the lab’s caseload comprising radiology cases with on-call coverage
• Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of technical procedures related to cardiac and interventional radiology cases
• Scrub and monitor patients during device placements, ablations, and radiological interventions
• Provide expert support for both emergent and scheduled procedures, including participation in regular call rotations
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and care in fast-paced, procedure-driven environments
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to achieve optimal procedural outcomes
