Schedule:
- 3x12-hour shifts
- Day shift hours
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiology
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Active Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- At least one year of patient care experience in a clinical setting
- Completion of radiation safety coursework within 90 days of hire
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accuracy and safety throughout diagnostics and interventions
- Monitor patient vital signs and status during procedures, responding swiftly to changes as needed
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and hospital protocols
- Accurately document records and contribute to quality assurance programs
- Support patients before, during, and after their procedures to enhance comfort and understanding
