Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech, with proficiency in operating imaging equipment for cardiac procedures
- Current ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) credential preferred
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS a plus
- Clear understanding of sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and support staff
Schedule:
- Contract assignment; schedule specifics provided during the interview process
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate specialized imaging equipment during cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and interventional procedures
- Assist physicians with real-time imaging support, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results
- Maintain catheterization suite cleanliness, equipment calibration, and regulatory compliance
- Monitor patients during procedures, observing for changes in status and assisting with emergent interventions when needed
- Document procedure details accurately in accordance with facility guidelines
- Participate in post-procedure care, including room turnover and equipment sterilization
