Responsibilities:

  • Perform imaging procedures for cardiac catheterizations, including angiograms, stent placements, and pacemaker/ICD insertions
  • Assist physicians during interventional cardiology procedures, ensuring optimal patient positioning and image clarity
  • Operate and maintain specialized cath lab equipment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols
  • Monitor and document patient vitals before, during, and after procedures
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and education, offering reassurance and information
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and technologists to maintain a smooth workflow and high standard of care
  • Accurately document procedure details and maintain necessary records in compliance with facility policies

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current ARRT or RCIS certification (or eligibility)
  • Active BLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • Previous experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with strong knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
