Seeking an experienced professional to join a dynamic Cardiac Catheterization Lab team, providing critical support for a full spectrum of cardiovascular procedures. This contract position offers a day shift schedule: 7:00 AM–6:30 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week). Weekend and holiday coverage is required as needed, with a commitment to 1 summer and 1 winter holiday. On-call participation is expected (minimum 7, maximum 10 shifts). No floating is required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiac Catheterization required
- Experience with permanent pacemaker placement, Impella, and balloon pump operation is essential
- Preferred: Mac Lab and EPIC system experience
- BLS and Radiology certification required
- Must be comfortable with the use and maintenance of digital cine technologies
- Familiarity with a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical demands (lifting/pushing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedural trays, organize equipment, and assist with patient preparation aligned to protocols
- Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including angioplasty, rotablation, TEC, valvuloplasty, stent placements, IVUS, and balloon pumps
- Calibrate and operate medical equipment such as power injectors and hemodynamic monitoring tools; test transducers for accuracy
- Efficiently manage digital and hemodynamic records, including storage, retrieval, and transfer for review, maintaining data integrity
- Perform emergency supportive measures when required and assist in post-procedure care such as sheath removal and vascular closures
- Maintain inventory levels, and assist with equipment calibration and periodic evaluation
- Deliver patient care tailored to diverse needs, communicating clearly with patients and caregivers according to their developmental stage and comprehension
