Schedule/Hours:
- 17-week contract
- 7:00 am – 3:30 pm shifts
- On-call rotation based on unit needs
- Every other weekend and every third holiday on-call
- Additional on-call required two days during the week
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex cardiac catheterization procedures and assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disorders
- Ensure accurate imaging, preparation, and operation of cath lab equipment
- Monitor and respond to patient status throughout procedures, providing safe, effective, and compassionate care
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, equipment, and supplies
- Document all relevant aspects of patient care and imaging procedures clearly and accurately
- Collaborate with team members to support unit workflow and patient care goals
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
Qualifications:
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Registry credentials: RT(R) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Previous experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of imaging equipment, sterile technique, and cardiac anatomy
- Ability to manage high-stress situations and remain detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
