Cath Lab Technologist - West Bloomfield, MI

Deliver exceptional patient care and technical expertise as a Cath Lab Technologist in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract opportunity is designed for experienced professionals eager to contribute to cutting-edge cardiac care within a collaborative team.

Schedule/Hours:

• 6:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
• On call responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of recent Cath Lab Tech experience
• Valid ACLS and BCLS certifications
• Holds at least one of: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (CI or VI)
• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology/pathology
• Advanced ECG interpretation skills, including recognition of lethal arrhythmias and chamber enlargement
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac medications, both generic and trade names, with proficiency in proper documentation
• Able to respond to full cardiac arrest situations using ACLS standards

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assist during diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and interventions
• Appropriately respond to arrhythmias and provide advanced life support as needed
• Set up all necessary supplies for cardiac catheterizations and keep accurate records in database systems
• Calculate hemodynamic parameters and perform ACT, cardiac outputs, and O2 saturations
• Support orientation and training initiatives for Cath Lab staff
• Participate in special projects and committee meetings relevant to the cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Recognize and communicate ECG changes, lab abnormalities, and variations in patient status to physicians
• Operate and understand Cath Lab imaging/fluoroscopy systems to facilitate optimal procedural visibility
• Explain and apply advanced treatments and technologies including thrombolytic therapy, intravascular ultrasound, and atherectomy devices
