Cath Lab Technologist in West Hartford, CT

Seeking an experienced professional to support a busy imaging department specializing in Cath Lab procedures. This contract role offers a dynamic environment, partnering with a skilled clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care. The position is structured for those who thrive in a detail-oriented and fast-paced setting.

Schedule:

• 6:30am to 5pm, with assigned late days during the week
• No weekends or holidays

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Cath Lab Technologist (Imaging Cath Lab Tech)
• Valid RCIS certification or RT(R) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations and protocols

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures
• Monitor patients’ condition throughout procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Maintain detailed and accurate procedure documentation
• Uphold infection control and patient privacy standards
• Inventory and manage supplies related to the Cath Lab
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education when required
