Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT), such as ARRT (CT)
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Active, unrestricted licensure as required
- Proven proficiency with CT imaging procedures and equipment
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Recent experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is desirable
Main Responsibilities:
- Operate CT imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining steps and ensuring comfort throughout
- Recognize and follow all safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Evaluate image quality and collaborate with radiologists for optimal patient care
- Maintain imaging records and related documentation accurately and promptly
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed and report malfunctions promptly
- Participate in regular quality control and continuing education
