A Radiologic Technologist skilled in CT imaging is needed for a night shift opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This contract position requires flexibility to meet department needs, strong judgment in performing technical imaging procedures, and dedication to patient safety and comfort. The role involves independently setting up equipment, positioning patients, and producing diagnostic quality images essential for disease diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify clinician orders and patient identity; gather clinical history and assess contraindications
  • Administer contrast media accurately and safely while monitoring patient condition
  • Produce high-quality CT images, perform quality control checks, and submit studies promptly to PACS
  • Respond to emergencies; maintain life support equipment and restock crash carts
  • Collaborate with other technologists across modalities when needed
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families using AIDET principles to reduce anxiety
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and infection control standards
  • Follow physician instructions and hospital protocols including sterile technique and pre/post procedural care
  • Document procedures accurately and complete mandatory education and departmental tasks
  • Take call as necessary and support department operations including scheduling and patient transport

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience; less than 1 year CT experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and customer service orientation
  • Competency in patient positioning, radiation protection, and anatomy/pathology as related to imaging

Schedule:

  • Night Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
