Seeking an experienced Imaging Technologist skilled in CT and CT/PET to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity requires a professional ready to adapt quickly, ensure patient safety and comfort, and operate advanced radiology technology independently.
Schedule:
- Night shift: Wednesday through Friday, 7am-7:30pm
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Current ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Radiology required; less than 1 year in CT imaging preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in CT, including patient positioning, exposure, and radiation protection
- Exceptional communication skills for frequent interaction with medical teams, patients, and families
- Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining a cooperative, team-oriented approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compliance with established hospital procedures, protocols, and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT exams according to department protocols, ensuring the safety, comfort, dignity, and privacy of diverse patient populations
- Accurately verify orders, obtain clinical history, and identify contraindications
- Administer contrast media per established guidelines and monitor for adverse reactions
- Independently review images for quality and clinical acceptability before releasing patients
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with life support equipment as needed
- Maintain equipment hygiene and functionality; promptly report issues
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication within the department
- Participate in departmental training, patient/family communication, and orientation for new staff
- Support quality control activities and compliance with regulatory standards
