Exciting opportunity available for a skilled professional specializing in CT and CT/PET technology within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role focuses on delivering safe, age-appropriate care while performing diagnostic exams using advanced imaging techniques. Flexibility, dependability, and collaboration are essential, as you will work closely with patients and clinical staff to provide exceptional service.
Schedule:
- Wednesday – Friday, 7:00am – 7:30pm (Night shift)
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum one year experience in Radiology required; CT experience preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, adept at working with patients, families, and the clinical team
- Capable of functioning independently and collaboratively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to prioritize and multitask with attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of anatomy, pathology, and quality control standards in CT imaging
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify provider orders and obtain patient histories
- Perform CT and PET/CT exams, ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout
- Review images for diagnostic quality; consult with radiologists and release patients as appropriate
- Maintain and prepare imaging equipment, including quality control and infection prevention
- Administer contrast media following safety protocols and address any patient concerns
- Ensure accurate patient identification and complete documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support other technologists and participate in staff education as needed
- Handle patient positioning, equipment setup, and application of radiation protection techniques
